If you’ve ever taken a Yin Yoga class at Gilbert Yoga and felt like the world slowed down just enough for you to breathe again, you’ve likely practiced with Nutashia Hall. As the lead Yin Yoga teacher and a guiding presence in our studio, Nutashia brings a unique combination of warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength to her classes. Her teaching is rooted not just in yoga, but in a full and evolving life experience—one that many students deeply connect with.
A New Chapter of Purpose and Service
Before stepping into the world of yoga instruction, Nutashia spent years as a business owner and a devoted mother. She knows firsthand what it means to hold many roles and to show up for others. Now, after raising her children and closing a chapter in entrepreneurship, she’s turned her focus toward serving the community through yoga—bringing the same dedication, care, and commitment into a career centered on healing and connection.
This shift isn’t just a career change; it’s a calling. Nutashia now uses her life experience, steady presence, and deep compassion to create spaces where others can breathe, heal, and reconnect with themselves.
What to Expect in Her Classes
Nutashia’s teaching style is intuitive, adaptive, and grounded in mindful movement and breath awareness. Her classes focus on:
Deep nervous system regulation
Joint health and physical recovery
Stress relief and emotional release
Greater self-awareness and inner calm
Yin Yoga
Nutashia’s Yin classes are slow-paced, meditative, and deeply restorative. Poses are held for extended periods, allowing students to explore the layers of tension held in the body and to release them in a supportive, peaceful environment.
One of her students, Apollo, an athlete who attends weekly, describes her classes as a core part of his training routine. “I rest—really rest—in her class,” he says. “And I always feel great afterward.” He credits the practice with helping him stay injury-free and maintain joint health, but also with giving him the mental space to reset each week.
Mindful Movement Mondays
In addition to Yin, Nutashia also teaches Mindful Movement Mondays—a class that blends gentle, intentional movement with breathwork and mindfulness. It’s a perfect complement to Yin, offering students the chance to move with more fluidity while still honoring the same inward focus and awareness.
Together, these offerings form a full-spectrum approach to wellness: one that nourishes the body, calms the mind, and restores the spirit.
A Teacher Who Truly Sees You
What sets Nutashia apart isn’t just her skill, but her ability to create an environment where people feel safe to be exactly who they are. Her students describe her classes as a soft landing after a long day, a place where the pressure to perform is replaced with permission to simply be.
In a culture that so often celebrates speed, intensity, and doing more, Nutashia’s classes are an invitation to slow down, breathe, and listen deeply—to your body, your breath, and yourself.
